Originating in Cuba, the Cha-Cha is one of the most popular dances in the Ballroom and Latin dance circles.

Characterized by quick small actions, and danced in a playful and flirtatious manner, the Cha-Cha will be found on the dance floor at weddings and most all dance functions.

    Man's Part   Woman's Part
    1. Left foot forward
2. Right foot in place, weight shifts to it
3. Left foot to side
4. Right foot closes to left foot
5. Left foot - small step to side
6. Right foot back
7. Left foot in place, weight shifts to it 8. Right foot to side
9. Left foot closes to right foot
10. Right foot small step to side
 
  1. Right foot back
2. Left foot in place, weight shifts to it
3. Right foot to side
4. Left foot closes to Right foot
5. Right foot - small step to side
6. Left foot back
7. Right foot in place, weight shifts to it
8. Left foot to side
9. Right foot closes to left foot
10. Left foot small step to side
 
    The easiest way to count the timing in the beginning is: Rock step cha-cha-cha, Rock step cha-cha-cha.
