Transcript of The dip and step video:
Hi I’m Keith Fitzpatrick. This is hip-hop moves for men. We’re going to go over the dip and step. So, what you’re going to do — this is kind of a transitional move as well, but you can do it, you know, independent of another move. You want to just dip down here in front, boom. You’ll just drop down — here.
And again, a lot of our hip-hop stands, is a lot of moves we do, as I said earlier in the clip about your stands — is here — with knees bent, in this kind of sluggish, hunchback position. So, you’ll be here – boom. You’re just going to jump out of that — up, up jiggle and step, okay? So you drop down — you’ll dip down and step. You dip down again – boom — and step.
That’s really simple, but the main thing to do is that there has to be transition between you being up here, and into a dip. A lot of people just don’t think about the way things look as far as transitioning from up, to how you can dip. If you just do this — that’s not really dipping, you’re not moving.
So, you want to make sure that there’s a difference between here and here. Okay, so real simply you’ll drop down — here and here — drop here — and here. Just put it together – it’s going to go like that. All right? Real simple. That’s your dip and step.
