Step 1.
Location,
location, location
The most
important thing about taking dance lessons
is repetition. If you have large gaps
between lessons you will retain less per
lesson. There are dance studios every where.
Having a dance studio that is conveniently
located to home or work will make getting to
the dance studio easier. A dance studio that
is to far or out of the way will make it
much more difficult to get to the studio.
Find dance
studios in your area. Use our
Dance Studio Locator
to find a dance studio near you. Ballroom,
Latin, Hip Hop, just enter a zip code, how
far you are willing to drive, a dance style
and we will show you the best dance studios
in your area.
Step 2.
Set a
Goal
Many people
want to take dance lessons for different
reasons. What's yours? A special occasion
(wedding, prom), cruise, to exercise or meet
new friends are a few of the reasons. When
you go to a studio have a goal in mind. Your
dance studios instructors will be able to
serve your much better if they know what you
want to achieve.
Step 3.
Professionalism
Check out a
few different dance studios. Most dance
studios will offer group and private
lessons. A mixture of the two is by far the
best. Some people are active in several
dance studios.
Most dance
studios will offer a introductory package
that will allow you to give them a "test
drive" so to speak. Mention learntodance.com
and get the first lesson for half price!
How many
teachers do they have?
A word
about contracts. Many dance studios use
contracts. Lots of people don't like them
but they are used to protect both parties
involved. The bad thing about a contract is
when the dance studio wants you to sign up
for a ridiculous number of
lessons. Negotiate! |
