Dancing With the Stars week 6 Commentary by Anderson Moore

First off let me say that the music tonight was better than it has been in a few weeks. Way to go ABC!

The dancing was very nice this week. All the couples put on great performances and the professional dances were very a great way to kick the show off. Now on to the picks.

I felt that Jerry had the weakest performance overall. His dancing was not to bad, but he des not command the audience or have the same amount of showmanship as the other dancers. Jerry has made great progress in his dancing, but the Paso Doble was not his strongest dance in my opinion.

George Hamilton is such a showboat. He loves the attention of being in the spotlight and has a great connection with Edyta. His timing was a bit off in week 6 when he was dancing the solo parts of the Rumba, but his routine was nicely choreographed and kept him dancing just enough to avoid standing around while Edyta dances around him. I think that George just barley beat Jerry, now we have to see how the viewers vote.

Lisa Rinna danced much better with the Quickstep then she was dancing the Waltz. She still has trouble with the top line, but her movements were bright and fluid. She knows how to ham it up on the dance floor, but I do not think it will be enough to put her over the top.

Then we had the 10s.

I really felt that Drew and Cheryl deserved the 10s they got this week. Drew did a much better job with his dance hold and did a fine Tango. He got a little back with a few of his pivots, but his was by far the best of the Tangos we have seen in the competition and the best on the night in my opinion.

The Jive that Stacy and Tony danced was pretty good, but I didn't think it was good enough for another 30. The material was put together very well, but Stacy was a bit sloppy with some of the basic actions. Her dance background gives her a big advantage over the rest of the field, but I do not think she is a shoe in to win the trophy. It all will come down to which dance they draw in the final weeks.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Who will go in week 6?

As much as I hate to say it, I think Jerry Rice will fall a little short and join the others who have been eliminated.
