Viennese Waltz belongs to the Ballroom dances and is normally thought as part of Ballroom dance programme.

The origins of Viennese Waltz are dated back to 12th/13th centuries. The dance originally came from Bavaria and used to be called the "German". However, other people question this origin of the Viennese waltz. It is relatively fast-paced, progressive dance where the partners perform a full turn on every bar of music.
